Principal - Lisa Hill

I love being the teaching principal at Ratapiko School.

I have a great team and the children are all amazing individuals.

We have a beautiful setting and a fantastic supportive community.

We are proud of our rural feel and work hard to have a bright inclusive family culture in our classrooms.

Our school utilises social coaching, as being happy and confident in our place makes us ready and able to learn and succeed.

Tui Room Teacher - Alisha Flannery

Kia Ora,

I joined the teaching team at Ratapiko School in Term 3 of 2018.

I am a Taranaki girl and have come to Ratapiko after teaching in Auckland and England .

I am a fully registered teacher now, and enjoying working in such a beautiful environment with such amazing learners.

I love music and getting involved with all the learning that takes place in our school. We are exploring learning through play by following our passions , learning styles and strengths.

Office Administrator - Jan Callender


I have worked at Ratapiko School for a while now and love the community and the children.

I work Monday - Thursday and have many roles, from the office to teacher aid and sometimes gardener.

Principal Release - Georgie Pullins

Kia ora,

I am the Principal Release teacher at Ratapiko. I am working with Kiwi Room (Thursday and Friday) most weeks unless there's a change of plan.

I love teaching and moved into this wonderful community over a year ago now.

We are on a learning journey developing our student agency and use of the new Digital Curriculum.

Kiwi Room Teacher Aide- Nikki Farley

Kia Ora,

I joined the teaching team at Ratapiko School in Term 4 of 2017. I love working with the children in Kiwi Room. I have a passion for the arts and creating recycled products.

I have two children at Ratapiko School and love being able to see them learning in a great rural school.

Teacher Aide - Sharon Richardson


I work with all the children and they are fantastic.

Some of my roles are to be a support person to individual learners, to take small groups and to help any learner whom might be having trouble in their learning.

The community is very welcoming and supportive to everyone and I love my drive out to Ratapiko School. I enjoy being at Ratapiko School every day now!
