Learning Opportunities Offered at Ratapiko School
Sessions for Four and a Half Year Old's. - These are for two terms leading up to the child's fifth birthday, for one morning a week. The aim is to build relationships and an understanding of how the classroom works so the first day at school is more familiar to the child.

Curriculum afternoons - Term 3 we are utilising the afternoon slots to immerse ourselves in the wider curriculum areas. Monday - science, Tuesdays - Music, learning an instrument (ukulele, guitar and percussion), Wednesday - Tikanga Maori (Te Reo Maori and Kapa Haka), Thursday - Discovery and Friday - sport.
Puke Ariki Mobile Classroom - This visits the school every fortnight. The students are encouraged to have their own library card so they can issue and return their own library books.
Tech - All year seven and eight students attend classes at Inglewood High School once a week for this. A free bus is provided for students to attend.
Sports The students have the opportunity to participate in swimming, Rippa Rugby, soccer, cross-country running and athletics with and against students from other schools within the Inglewood Cluster.
